Fishery Rules
For the safety of both our fish stocks and yourselves we have some rules in place that must be followed at all times. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in your fishing session being cancelled.
- No outside bait to be used, only the supplied bait for your session or extra bait purchased on site can be used
- We are happy for you to use your own rods and reels, but they must be suitable for the job. A minimum test curve of 5lb rods and a reel loaded with minimum of 200m of 80lb braid.
- Again we are happy for you to use your own rigs but these will be checked by our senior management on arrival and if they are not suitable they cannot be used.
- No treble hooks, multi hook rigs or lures to be used at any time.
- Fish are to remain in the water at all times. They are not to be lifted to the pavilions under any circumstances.
- Fly fishing may be allowed, however once again a thorough check of all equipment will be required prior to starting.
- No bait boats allowed, if you cannot reach the spot you want to fish please ask your guide to get it there for you.
- Barbless hooks only (crushed microbarbs will be ok).
- A minimum of 1m of silicon tubing to be used on each rod.
- No fixed rigs, semi fixed or free running only.
- No retaining of fish.
- No fishing without a guide, we start at 7am and finish at 6pm with a 1 hour break between 12-1pm. The guides are there with you for the safety of our fish and yourselves.
- No wire traces to be used.
- And finally please be kind and courteous to our guides and other staff at all times. If you have an issue with your guide please raise this with management who will deal with it.
